Gaining My Religion - Part One: A CULT-ural Standpoint

     There are, without doubt, plenty of religions out there in the man made world, and one of the newest it seems is growing rather rapidly in the western world, and that is of course Unilateral Arsessism.

For those of you whom are unaware of Unilateral Arsessism here is some background information:

   Yes Arsessism is similar to Narcissism, but the self-love in this case has the capacity to turn a human being into something quite disdainful, that's right - a complete and utter Arse; also known as being an Arse, rather than a Human Being.

Let me fill you in with a little detail related to this new way of being. Arsessism is a natural gap word; a word that fills a gap in the English language. It is also the coming together of two words, Arse and Narcissism. In fact a Narcissistic Arse is definitely a candidate for the religious cult known to all of us (as of now) as Unilateral Arsessism because let's face it, the world is full of them - the only problem is, well, most of them don't even know that they are already full blown members - what complete Arse's! And I may well be one of them . . . 

. . . (a member that is), but I wouldn't know, would I, how could I? Unilateral Arsessists are oblivious to the condition to which they belong - they quite literally don't know what they don't know, which in, and of, itself means they only know that others around them are complete and utter Arse's, especially if those others disagree with them about anything - which makes complete and utter sense from an Arse's point of view, well obviously, even though all an Arse can see is complete and utter crap (one way and/or another, ahem).

I have a suggestion for you, do yourself a favour, don't get into an argument (unless you fancy a laugh) with a Unilateral Arsessist - about anything - because if you do they'll do their utmost to strike you down with their Arsessisticly Unilateral standpoint! Never forget that a Unilateral Arsessistic point of view can never, Never, NEVER - be wrong - right? Right! The Arse has to be right because s/he can see everything from the perfection of their Unilateral standpoint! Makes perfect sense doesn't it? Well it does if you agree with me, if not, well - YOU CAN FECKING SOD OFF . . .

That was an example of a Unilateral Arsessist getting very angry and telling you to SOD OFF, and very impressive it was as well, I'm sure you'll agree. Anger is a very good way for Unilateral Arsessism to demonstrate its total authoritarian authenticity from whichever side of the Polarity dominated world it happens to look at life from, and there are many sides from which one can take a gander, let me show you.

A Unilateral Arsessist may be a religionist, in other words someone whom believes in religion, or they be a non believer, it makes no difference once they have taken a stance, once they've been conditioned to have an opinion about anything whatsoever, from that point on that's it - they're blinded by what they are attached to.

The attachment itself is what makes them a Unilateral Arsessistic Member!

(yes, I did say Member)

Even an atheist, yes I know this is very hard to accept but, yes, even an atheist may well be a Unilateral Arsessist (an Atheist Member) - and without knowing it! I know, absolutely astonishing isn't it? And why may they be so? They may be so because they hold a stance, a position of Unilateral standing, whereby they know with (almost) all certainty that they're right, and those Unilateral Creationist Arsessists must therefore, by default, be wrong. Stands to reason really, well that's their Unilateral Arsessistic reasoning anyway!

Here's a Smack in the Face for Ya!

     That wasn't 100% accurate, when 0ne said that no one perceives the change in me, which 0ne implied in one's last post, that wasn't exactly accurate because someone I work with, we'll call him Pav (because that's his name), he asked something quite interesting. He asked quite out of the blue - in a loud blurt it out sort of way - in the office last week, in front of everyone (well everyone in the office at the time, which was a fair number), "Why are you always so happy Doug?"

Generally speaking, although 0ne doesn't generally generalise, but hey, let this be an exception to the rule - but generally speaking, well 0ne is not so much happy as, what's an accurate wordage here? Um, harmonious, will that do? You see, 0neness isn't happy or unhappy, 0neness, and therefore 0ne ain't happy one moment and unhappy the next - no. 0ne simply is and therefore 0ne's energy is in equilibrium, even when tired 0ne simply is what's unfolding as is.

Pav has only known 0ne for three months, and only at work, so he doesn't know what a complete arse Doug McMillan can be at times, but generally speaking he hit the nail on the head did Pavel. You see, 0ne isn't controlled by the polarity swing that the personality is controlled by. 0neness is at the point of equilibrium where all polarities meet. It is balanced, and therefore harmonious, and regardless of what unfolds it responds from that point of equilibrium, balance and harmony. The personality, meanwhile, will react emotionally. 0neness or being is presence itself and responds from that, whilst the personality reacts from its base of emotional insecurities. The difference is marked, and remarkable - even to the 0ne observing the unfolding as 0ne's own life.

Being is what 0ne is, and being is unfolding out of the point of stillness, love, peace and harmony. It is equilibrium in action - unfolding out from the centre of the dynamo - out into existence, as life itself. Being becomes form. And in form, as wo/man, being unfolds out of the point of equilibrium-0neness to become everything-duality.

When you became conditioned you lost that connection with equilibrium-0neness because the conditioning process moved you that nth of a degree out of balance! Individuals (individuated personalities) are just that nth out of alignment, and therefore see life purely as individuals.

When 0ne is being, 0ne is simply the unfolding of what is. What is is also realised as a sense of joy, wonder, harmony, love  . . . all at 0nce! And life unfolds unproblematically. In other words life works as it is meant to when 0ne has realised 0ne's true identity.

0ne's true identity, what is that? Well it isn't something you can go in search of, that's for sure. You may have heard of people who have gone in search of themselves, "I had to find myself" they say, or something akin. Well if you ever find yourself be sure to tell yourself that you've just turned totally schizophrenic now won't you?

    Look, it isn't possible to find yourself. Sorry, but any self you find will just be another re-jig of your conditioned individuality. The fact is, and that's why 0ne is here writing this open Blog to you, the fact is there is no you, no self to find.

So what can you find? Well nothing. Really? Yes, really. You can potentially discover that you are as nothing, and in so doing - you will vanish. What will remain? Ah, well maybe you need to read this Blog post over again, and again, and again . . . until the moment of realisation hits you . . .

What Remains?

    The change that has taken place here, what is it? There's been a change that no one else perceives here in the writer, and that's because apparent others perceive an apparent Doug from their position as an individual person, which (as we discovered in the last post on this Blog) is an nth of a degree away from this, from simply being what is unfolding . . .

What has changed? "Everything and yet, paradoxically, nothing" - is the answer.

The change is love. I'm in Love. With Life. With Life in it's totality. With Life with a capital L - Yes, I'm in Love with Life - In fact, I am Love, and yet all there is is Love - everything unfolding is Love in action. Even simply sitting on a chair, or feeling tired - sleepy or sleeping - it's all a love affair with being alive. All of it. Ready for the shock now? Work, yes even getting up at the crack of dawn (I do hope Dawn doesn't mind ;-) and going to work - even that is a part of the love affair that is life unfolding. Truly amazing it is too. Life is full of wonder now in a way that it wasn't previously . . . even when doing those seemingly mundane jobs like washing up or gardening, Love is.

When the sense of 'I' disappeared something was here ready and waiting to reveal itself; it was always here, although obscured by something unreal - the unreality that is the conditioned-individuated personality. The personality was the obstacle.

The intriguing aspect here is that real Love, which is unconditioned, unconditional and simply flows freely, has no individuality whatsoever . . . None! Zilch my friend, nada, zip, in fact Zippo-diddly-squat - to be exact! It simply is.

"Is what?"

Love simply is whatever is unfolding as is. It's everything all at once, Smack - *BANG* - Wallop this is it - and yet it includes every aspect of life - yes, even what might be perceived as painful by the conditioned mind. This Love is completely, in a total sense, impersonal. And yet it is all encompassing - hence it is also known as 0neness. This Love is a Love for everything all at once, for it is Love itself - the Lover - The 0ne.

Love is being, pure and simple presence unfolding, and it is beautiful beyond compare haha, haaaaa - oh yeahhhhh. It is what you are. It is what you are when you get out of the way, when you are no more: You being the conditioned person, the individual whom lives separately and apart from others, even amidst, seemingly, a loving relationship.

Ironically, 0ne can't tell you to Love unconditionally, you can't be told, because this love has nothing to do with you, or what you want or don't want. What do you want, a manual, a set of instructions maybe? Or a demonstration of unconditional Love? Sorry, no can do!

So, what has happened here within the writer? Nothing, and yet everything has changed, why, how? Let go of the questions, let go of the questioner, and what remains? Not till all your questions have been asked and answered can 0ne do that. If questions exist within you, and you don't ask them, then you'll remain the questioner and miss your lover! Your lover being a greater reality than the individuated personality can ever imagine, or experience whilst lost in the conditioned mind. And yet life goes on exactly as it did before.

Arguments can happen here, yes, sometimes there is even tiredness and irritability unfolding here, but there is no attachment to it - no overwhelming sense of defensiveness - no sense of emotional identity invested in it - none. I repeat, everything is exactly as it was previously - but now, even though the lights are on brighter than ever, there's no one home. Meaning? Meaning there is no personally attached individual holding on like grim death to a conditioned attitude, belief or opinion - that's all dead and gone. But 0ne can stand 0ne's ground, 0ne can stand up for what is real and true - and 0ne does.

     The fact is there are no more questions here within the writer, and no more seeking, for it is the seeker that is dead. The seeker, he whom needed to know and understand his purpose and life's meaning has fallen on his sword - the dragon is dead! What remains is a love affair with life, what remains is unconditional Love.
